AHU (the Division for Higher Education Development) provides basic and advanced pedagogical courses to all who teach at Lund University. Applications for our Spring 2024 courses are now open, ideal for those wishing to develop their pedagogical competence and meet requirements for tenure, promotion or particular educational roles. Several courses are offered in various formats: online, onsite, or blended. New for Spring 2024, we offer a course called Integrating Sustainability Competencies in Curriculum, aimed at providing support to educators wishing to explore sustainability-related content and skills in relation to their existing courses. In addition, we offer the new Project Course for individuals or teaching teams to develop a pedagogical project with guidance and support from AHU’s teachers.

- Introduction to Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (Online, 2 w)
- Introduction to Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (Blended, 2 w)
- Teaching and Learning – Extension (Online, 1 w)
- Course Design in Higher Education (Blended, 3 w)
- Teaching Portfolio (Blended, 1 w)
- Integrating Sustainability Competencies in Curriculum (1 w)
- Project Course – Higher Education Development (3 w)
Eligibility for permanent teaching positions at Lund University requires a minimum of five weeks of pedagogical training. Furthermore, in order to supervise doctoral students a course on supervision is required. Doctoral students who teach are required, at least, two weeks.
Additional courses are offered in Swedish.
